DEFAULT SHOPPING LIST

These are the ingredients I need to make Five Can Soup, a Tofu Stir Fry, and a Simple Green Salad.  Ingredients are arranged according to category for fast shopping.   Recipes are included below.


PRODUCE:
1 package of pre-cut veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, onions, carrots, peppers, etc.)
2 tomatoes (or buy 1 can of diced tomatoes)
1 package of salad greens (spinach, arugula, etc.)

PROTEIN:
1 package extra firm tofu

CANNED:
1 can Minestrone or Chili Soup (try Healthy Valley or Amy’s)
1 can black beans
1 can fat free chicken or vegetable broth
1 can white corn (you can use frozen, too, and peas work great as well)

CONDIMENTS (check pantry first, probably have these already):
Sesame oil
Balsamic vinegar
Soy sauce

Recipe #1: Easy Five Can Soup

Ingredients:
1 can Minestrone or Chili Soup (try Healthy Valley or Amy’s)
1 can white corn (you can use frozen, too, and peas work great as well)
1 can diced tomatoes (2 fresh tomatoes are even better!)
1 can fat free chicken or vegetable broth
1 can black beans, drained and rinsed

Instructions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a pot and bring to boil.
2. You can add salt, oregano, rosemary, thyme, basil, pepper, garlic, salt, or onion powder if you’d like a bit of spice!


Recipe #2: Tofu Stir Fry

Ingredients:
1 package extra firm tofu
2 tablespoons sesame oil
1 package of pre-cut veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, onions, peppers, etc.)
Soy sauce
Balsamic vinegar

Instructions:
1. Cut tofu up into bite-sized pieces.
2. Heat sesame oil in skillet. Add vegetables and tofu and stir fry until vegetables are tender and tofu is slightly browned. You can add the soy sauce and balsamic vinegar at any time to add flavor.
