FAQs

I've been getting lots of questions about the eBook from folks who want to try a cleanse, but don't want to fail miserably at it (sound familiar?).  Here are my answers to some of the most popular questions:

Q: What if I can't stick with my cleanse?

A: You can't fail at any of the cleanses I outline in the book. It's impossible.  That's because you get to design your own cleanse.  You get to pick and choose from 10 different options and decide which one makes the most sense to you.  There's no 'right' or 'wrong' way to cleanse.  All of the cleanses are very simple (because I find that my clients are much more likely to succeed at programs that are simple).  Complicated cleanses are hard to stick with, and quite a shock to your body, unless you've been cleansing for a while.

Q: How long do I have to cleanse for?

A: You get to decide on the length of your cleanse... so you can do it for 1/2 day... 5 days... whatever you decide will work best for your schedule.

 

Q: I'm interested in your spring cleanse eBook but I'm still nursing my 10 month old. Is this something that I could do safely while still nursing?


A: If you're nursing or pregnant, you should always check with your doctor before starting a new nutrition program... even a gentle cleanse.  Since you need lots of energy and 500 extra calories a day while nursing... I would suggest starting with one or two of the 6 "R&R" cleanses (Remove and Replace). That way, you won't have to drastically change your diet... you'll just simplify what you eat and give your digestive system a little break.  Plus, if you're suffering from constipation after giving birth, these cleanses will get your bowels moving again!

Q: How hard is the cleanse on your system, what do you eat, and are there cleansing supplements you recommend? I've heard of so many supplements for cleansing. I've actually use a couple different types and they're really hard on me. WOW, what a stomach ache!!!!

A: I don't include supplements in my cleanses. They can be tough on some people's bodies, and plus, they're really expensive. You can do a nice, effective cleanse using just food. That's what my cleanses are built on - whole foods. So anyone can do them... and because you design your own cleanse, you can make it as gentle or extreme as you'd like.  The eBook walks you through the whole process, step-by-step.

 

Q: I'm training for a triathlon - can the cleanse be done while working out (I'm doing between 6-8 hours per week right now)?

A: Given the number of hours you're working out right now, then yes, some of the cleanses will be very appropriate. I would suggest doing a cleanse on your 'off' days. I'd start with one of the "R&R" (Remove and Replace) cleanses first, as these are very gentle and will still provide lots of workout energy. In fact, you may find you train better because you'll have more energy and less junk in your diet/body.

Also, the "All-Grain" diet would provide lots of complex carbs for your training purposes. Some of the other "All You Can Eat" cleanses will work best on days when you're not doing long training regiments. You'll be pleasantly surprised with how easy it is to tailor the cleanses to your training program.
